Equity, debt funds power `94,530 cr inflow into MFs

Mumbai/New Delhi: The mutual fund industry recorded a net inflow of Rs 94,530 crore in February, driven by strong investor participation in equity and debt schemes, according to data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI).

The industry’s total assets under management (AUM) rose to Rs 82.03 lakh crore at the end of February, compared with Rs 81 lakh crore in January, while the average AUM for the month stood at Rs 83.43 lakh crore.

Equity-oriented schemes continued to attract steady inflows, garnering Rs 25,978 crore during the month, an increase of about 8 per cent from Rs 24,028 crore in January.

Within the equity segment, flexi-cap funds led inflows at Rs 6,924.65 crore, followed by mid-cap funds at Rs 4,003 crore and small-cap funds at Rs 3,881 crore. Sectoral and thematic funds received Rs 2,987 crore, while large-cap funds saw inflows of Rs 2,111.68 crore.
